Agency Type: Non-Profit A maximum of three days of food supply is provided free of charge to residents of Blair County who are in short-term emergency and crisis need of food and for whom there is no immediate government help available. Families may receive assistance twelve times during a twelve month period. Provides emergency food for three days for individuals in need. The work of the Food Bank is supported by contributions of food and money from individuals, religious congregations, organizations and businesses. The Food Bank is owned, operated, and staffed by volunteers. Eligibility: Must be referred by a social service agency or a clergy member. |
