SERVICES

RELIABILITY REPORTS
One of the most effective tools the BBB uses to educate consumers is the Reliability Report that gives information about a business, indicates how it handled any BBB complaints and states if it is a BBB member.  Reliability reports can be accessed 24 hours a day by phone.  The reports are also available via the BBB's web site.  Not only can a consumer search for reliability reports specific to Pennsylvania businesses, but the public can access reports from over 100 other Bureaus.

ADVERTISING REVIEW
Since its inception the BBB fought for ethical advertising and the effort continues to ensure that advertising is honest and complies with Bureau standards.  Anyone who encounters questionable advertising is asked to contact the Better Business Bureau.

AUTO LINE PROGRAM
Before consumers can exercise their right under the Pennsylvania Lemon Law, they must first try to resolve the problem using a third-party alternative dispute resolution program selected by the auto manufacturer.  Over 20 auto manufacturers use the BBB Auto Line.  Through this program you can be reimbursed for repairs or ask the manufacturer to repurchase your vehicle. Check you owners manual or contact the BBB or more information.

COMPLAINTS AND INQUIRIES
The Better Business Bureau assists in the resolution of disputes between a business and its customers.  BBBs have a national reputation for fairness because they remain neutral in a dispute.  They do not take sides but work to get the problem settled as quickly as possible.  If you have a marketplace dispute, the BBB can offer you several ways to resolve it.  The Bureau can work with you and the business to reach a solution to your problem using dispute resolution (DR).  The DR process is an alternative to going to court - it's informal and user-friendly and it helps resolve thousands of complaints each year.
