PROGRAMS: COUNSELING SERVICES We provide individual, family, group, and marital counseling to those in need, with the goals of reducing stress and tension, improving communication, and providing the client with proven tools with which to address their concerns. Our services are provided by skilled, professional staff, many of who have master's degrees in counseling or social work and are licensed or certified by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and other professional organizations.
EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE Financial assistance is offered to individuals and families in need, regardless of age, gender, or creed. Budget counseling is available for those who are experiencing difficulty managing their income. REAL ALTERNATIVES Real Alternatives is a state funded program which seeks to assist women in crisis pregnancies by providing free and compassionate, practical and life affirming alternatives to abortion. We provide confidential counseling, free pregnancy test kits, clothing and food pantry assistance. MARRIAGE PREPARATION SERVICES Through close collaboration with parish priests and deacons, we work closely with engaged couples to help them prepare for a life time commitment of love and service to each other.
Catholic Charities is licensed as an adoption and foster care provider by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. We are involved in all areas of the adoption process, including the assessment of prospective parents, home studies, and counseling and supervision.
