PROGRAMS:
RESOURCE & REFERRAL
The Resource & Referral (R&R) services that the CCIS provides to any Blair County resident include:
- information on various child care options;
- information on choosing quality child care;
- listing of licensed and registered providers in Blair County;
- detailed listing of providers found through a specific computer search;
- resources for parents and providers on children’s issues.
ELIGIBILITY OFFICE
The CCIS Eligibility Office administers the State Subsidized Child Day Care (SSCDC) funding by:
- determining the client's eligibility for SSCDC;
- managing a county-wide waiting list for eligible children;
- establishing Provider Agreements with legally operating child care providers;
Some of the SSCDC requirements are as follows:
- family income must not exceed 200% of Federal Poverty Income Guidelines;
- clients must be employed at least 20 hours per week
- clients must be re-determined at least every 6 months; and
- clients must pay a weekly co-payment, which has been based upon their family size and income.
- If you are receiving Cash Assistance or Food Stamps, alert your caseworker that you need help with child care.
