Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 4:00 PM PROGRAMS Career development service for single parents, unemployed or underemployed homemakers, teen parents, and anyone interested in exploring nontraditional technologies and trades (including high school, post-seconday, and adult vocational technical education students). Program services include vocational assessment, career counseling, referral services, skills, identification, career planning, job readiness instruction, job search skills, job training placement, job placement assistance. All services are free. New Choices/New Options will help individuals improve their self esteem and empower them to take charge of their lives by determining job interests and talents, helping to understand training and career opportunities, prepare for the job market, market skills, develop career plans and find employment. Limited financial assistance for transportation, childcare, and tuition are available for low-income participants. The 60-hour career development classes are offered throughout the year in Bedford, Cresson, Johnstown, and Somerset.
