New Day Inc. of Blair County is the fourth branch of a nonprofit Christian ministry to troubled youth, marriages and families. The primary ministry is to provide a Christian-oriented counseling service without regard to religion, race, creed, or sex. Persons are encouraged to develop a positive, meaningful relationship with self, society and God.
PROGRAMS:
NEW DAY INC.
- Counseling – individual, marital and family therapy offered to assist clients in a variety of difficult situations.
- Marriage Enrichment – designed to help couples become aware of why their marriage is valuable and discover effective ways to make marriage workable.
- Parenting Programs – offers courses to teach parents how to improve parent-child communication, deepen understanding of reasons for misbehavior, and develop non-violent disciplining patterns to help the child take responsibility and make responsible choices.
- Summer Camp – provides youth with group recreation and living experiences in an outdoor setting with Christian leadership and supervision.
- Adult Education Program - A variety of seminars are offered throughout central and western Pennsylvania dealing with subjects such as: Anger Management, Stress Management, Children of Divorce, Children's Anger, Stress, Fear, and Trauma; Depression; Grief; Suicide; Self-Esteem; and more. The seminars are designed for businesses, church groups, or any organization wishing to deal with special issues.
