The only national voluntary non-profit membership organization dedicated to: identifying the cause, finding the cure, and controlling the effects of Tourette Syndrome (a neurological disorder characterized by tics – involuntary, rapid, and/or sudden movements or vocalizations that occur repeatedly in the same way) through its three-pronged mission of education, research and service.
- TSA develops and disseminates education materials, coordinates services to assist people coping with the challenges of TS;
- Provides funding for research;
- Maintains a database of those diagnosed with TS;
- Develops and maintains state-by-state lists of lawyers & advocates familiar with educational, employment & advocacy issues people with TS face;
- Develops and maintains state-by-state lists of doctors who can diagnose and treat TS.
