Agency Type: Non-Profit Call for Action provides a telephone information, referral and ombudsman service to assist people with any problem of any nature in Blair and other counties within the Channel 10 viewing area. Phones are staffed by trained, experienced volunteers, and calls are never on the air. Call for Action is fully sponsored by WTAJ-TV 10 and is an affiliate of National Call for Action. Services available since 1970. WTAJ-TV 10 CALL FOR ACTION Call for Action is a free and confidential information, referral, and ombudsman telephone service. If requested, volunteers provide ombudsman services on caller’s behalf. Callbacks are made on each case to ascertain if the problem was resolved. Evening "Ask the Expert" events are held at various times during the year. Local professionals, i.e., physicians, attorneys, etc., volunteer their time to answer the phones and provide free consultation in their area of expertise.
